my skin does NOT like this weather

Right so I posted a couple of weeks ago about my skin being all over the place and honestly it hasn't sorted itself out yet. If anything spring is making it weirder. All winter I was dealing with dry patches — fine, I get it, central heating, cold wind, the usual. But now it's milder and suddenly I'm getting this sort of... congested feeling around my jawline? Not full breakouts, just that dull heaviness where you know something's brewing. Classic. I've been thinking about why this happens and tbh there are a few legit reasons. Sebum production can shift with temperature changes — warmer air means the skin starts producing more oil after months of underproduction, and if you haven't adjusted your routine yet, that's where the congestion comes from. Pores that were basically dormant all winter suddenly have opinions. Also pollen. I always forget how much inflammation pollen can drive systemically, not just in your sinuses. Skin is an immune organ too, mind you. What I've actually changed: dropped my heavier moisturiser for now (the one I was relying on all winter was great but it's basically too rich for this transitional period), started double cleansing again in the evenings, and I've been eating more oily fish the last few weeks. Omega-3s genuinely help with the inflammatory side of things — the research on that is pretty solid. I've also started adding collagen to my morning smoothie again, which I'd got lazy about over the winter. Not making any wild claims about it but I do feel like my skin texture is generally better when I'm consistent with it. That could be the overall diet change too, honestly hard to isolate. Basically just wanted to say — if your skin is acting weird right now, you're not imagining it. Seasonal transitions are a real thing and your routine from three months ago might just not be working anymore.

outdoor runs in this weather are something else for my skin

the jawline thing happens to me loads after sweaty gym sessions, like the combination of that and weather changing just wrecks it. never fully sorted it tbh

same, wiping my face with my shirt mid-WOD probably doesn't help either. cleansing straight after training made a bit of a difference for me but it's not fixed it completely

started drinking way more water since going to the gym and my skin did actually settle down a bit, not sure if that's related or just coincidence tbh

did you change anything in your routine when the weather shifted or were you still using the same winter products?
