matcha banana thing — basically a 5 minute breakfast
Right so this started because I had a very ripe banana and zero time and I genuinely cannot do mornings without something in me before school.
Mashed banana, a scoop of oats (certified GF obviously), half a teaspoon of matcha stirred through, splash of oat milk, little drizzle of honey. Cold. Done. I don't even cook it, just eat it straight from the bowl like some kind of feral person.
It sounds a bit odd but you honestly can't tell the difference from a normal banana bowl — the matcha just makes it taste a bit more interesting I suppose. Less sweet somehow. I've been having this maybe three times a week and it keeps me going till break which for a Monday is basically a miracle.
Obviously check your oats are actually certified GF if you're coeliac — the amount of times I've been caught out by 'may contain' on regular ones is not fun.
