ate nothing before the gym once. never again.
Went straight from a 7am call to the gym on basically an empty stomach last Tuesday. Thought I'd be fine, I mean it was only a 45 minute session.
I mean. I mean.
About 20 minutes in I felt properly hollow. Not dizzy exactly but just... absent. Couldn't push anything. Cut it short and honestly felt worse leaving than when I arrived.
Had a proper word with myself after that. Even just a banana and my whey shake about 40 minutes before makes a noticeable difference — to be fair I've known this for ages and just ignored it when mornings get chaotic. The hydration thing too. I sit at a desk all day and forget to drink water like an absolute amateur.
Two years into this and still learning the basics apparently.
